From the President
Neighbors,
Our April meeting is next Wednesday, April 23rd, and we have a packed agenda. Alanah Melton, the City of Birmingham's Director of Unhoused Strategies, will be our guest speaker. Many of you have raised concerns about homelessness in and around Crestline, and we're bringing in the person who leads the city's response to answer your questions directly. We will also have a full report on the situation in our neighborhood.
The Crestline Park Groove is now less than a month away — May 9th. Attic Plus Storage is our title sponsor, Saw's Barbecue is handling the food, and we have a full lineup: Huck & Lilly, Rollin' in the Hay, and the Slacker Bees. We still need sponsors and volunteers, so come to the meeting ready to help out.
Two things to put on your radar: the City is holding public input meetings on a new Parks and Recreation master plan starting April 27th — this is our chance to advocate for Crestline Park. And the Alabama primary election is May 19th, with a voter registration deadline of May 4th.
See you Wednesday at Hope Community Church. 6 PM.
— Todd Russell, President
