Trash, recycling & brush pickup

• Bagged and inside the city cart, set out at the front of the house the night before or by 6 AM.
• The automated trucks can’t pick up bags on the ground or carts in the alley.

The rules that trip people up:

• No glass, no plastic bags, plastics #1 and #2 only.
• Rinse and dry everything, and flatten your cardboard.
• Paper, flattened cardboard, and rinsed aluminum, steel, and tin cans are all fine.

Crestline’s dates on the city’s current calendar:

• Have it at the curb by 6 AM.
• Crews sometimes reach our streets a day later — leave it out until they’ve come.
• The city posts each month’s bulk calendar on its Public Works page. We update this page as each new month goes up.

A holiday on a Monday through Thursday pushes pickup back one day for the rest of that week.

• Labor Day, Mon, Sep 7: Trash runs Tuesday, September 8 that week. Not a recycling week.

They’re free, the city delivers them to your house, and signing up takes two minutes.

1. Fill out the city’s form.
2. You’ll see a thank-you message — that’s your receipt.
3. There’s a waiting list right now, so the city will contact you when the next batch of carts comes in, then deliver yours to your door. Nothing to pick up.

Sign up once — duplicate requests actually slow the list down. One cart per household, single-family homes (and buildings with up to 3 units).
